Our functions and features
Geographic presentation
Routes
Obtain a quick overview of the routes a vehicle has covered during the day. You select which daily route or routes you want to look at. You can also color code your vehicles for a quick and easy view of which routes each vehicle has driven on a particular date.
Real time
Obtain a quick pictorial map overview of where your vehicles are situated right now. The map is continuously updated with information on the vehicle's latest position, direction and speed. By connecting sensors to various functions in the vehicle, you are also able to see what activities are being performed in real time.
Overview (week, day, hour,)
A weekly, daily or hourly overview enables you to see exactly how well the vehicle is being utilized.
Daily overview
The daily overview shows the day's activities for a specific vehicle as a timeline. Green shows when the vehicle has been moving, orange when the vehicle was idling and red when the vehicle was switched off. A smaller timeline is also displayed beneath the activity timeline. This shows when the sensors were active (e.g. offloading).
Weekly overview
The Weekly overview is displayed with a green box if a vehicle has been active that day, an orange box when the vehicle has been idling and a red box when the vehicle has been switched off. By clicking on one of the boxes, it will take you directly to the Daily overview for that specific vehicle and day.
Hourly overview
The Hourly overview details activity and speed minute by minute. It also shows whether or not the sensors have been activated.
Heads on & Hotspot
Heads on
This enables you to compare the utilization of two vehicles on a specific day. The graph gives you a quick overview and helps you pinpoint bottlenecks and under dimensioned machinery.
Hotspot
The hotspot function enables you to draw work areas on the map. You can then see how often your vehicles entered these areas, how long they stayed there and when they were there last, as well as measure cycles between two or more areas.
Reports
The report tool enables you to track vehicle activities. You can choose from a range of reports depending on what information you require. A couple of different reports you can generate are illustrated below. (You can set the time interval for the report and which vehicles are to be included.).
Unit report
The report presents the following data for the time interval you specify: time of first and last activity, total time in operation, total time sensors active (e.g.offloading), utilisation grade, average and maximum speed.
Start and stop report
This report shows start and stop times for a specific vehicle, and how long the vehicle has been moving or idling. By defining the stop time in the report, you are able to filter out active time and stop time based on your own requirements. If the filter is set to 10 minutes and active time, all routes that contain a total active time less than 10 minutes will not be listed in the report.
Efficiency and quality assurance
Do you want to measure specific work activities?
Quality assure and obtain statistics of specific work activities, by connecting sensors showing whether or not certain functions in a vehicle are active (e.g. sweeping, loading/unloading a truck, on/off functions such as hydraulics in an excavator etc.). We are happy to supply a GPS/GPRS terminal including sensors to add value to our service. You can then decide where you want to connect the sensors and which activities you want to have presented in report format.
Are your drivers at risk and in need of an alarm button?
Why not order an alarm button from us? We will send you the hardware and cable together with an instruction manual for connecting it to the GPS/GPRS terminal in your vehicle. Then simply tell us what you want to happen if the driver presses the alarm. For instance we can send a text message (sms) or email to the number or address you require. We can also flag the map where the vehicle was when the alarm was activated.
Need to check who the driver is at different times?
We can provide a RFID reader that you simply connect to the GPS/GPRS terminal in your vehicle with the help of our installation manual. Once the reader is installed, you give each driver a RFID-tag that they show the reader before starting the vehicle. You can also require an identity check before the vehicle is switched on. Reports can then be generated based on drivers and vehicles via our website.
Do you want your own maps for closer monitoring?
We can upload your own maps as part of our service. You can then select which map to be displayed at any one time (e.g. mines, quarries, road projects, industrial areas etc). Having your own maps can provide you with greater details and provide added value to the information available on our website.

Viewserve helps you comply with Swedish National Road Administration TRISS requirements
How it works:
Option 1: Text and drive
Start the engine and go
If you do not want to report all your routes, you can opt to activate the service just when you are working for the National Road Administration (Vägverket). Simply start the engine, send an SMS with the text "TUTA" to 72110, wait for SMS confirmation and then drive. When you turn off the engine you will automatically be logged out. Requirements: Viewserve services and sensor cables correctly connected to salt and sand spreaders and snowplough (Please contact Viewserve for help and explanations).
Option 2 - Key in and drive
Switch on the engine, key in www.viewserve.com/m/vv, on your mobile, enter your code and what action you are going to perform. If you switch action or finish simply confirm this via the menu.
Requirements: Viewserve service and a mobile handset from 2001 or later (Please contact Viewserve for help and explanations). Viewserve "Text and drive" is the simplest way to comply with TRISS. But do make sure you have connected up the sensor cables before the winter season. Once the sensor cables are installed, data will automatically be correctly reported to TRISS, without manual intervention by the driver.
Viewserve "Key-in and drive" is not quite as simple and secure, but it is immediate
On Duty
When you have employees working on call, it is important to be able to quickly see who is on call and where they are in order to allocate resources in the best possible way.
Viewserve plus an SMS enabled mobile handset allow drivers to report when they are going on and off on call duty simply and easily.
Where a vehicle is and what it is doing are shown both in real time and retroactively geographically both on a map and in reports. Which gives you the tools to ensure that reported tasks have been completed and when they were carried out.
